Attribute and seismic facies analysis form range of interpretation tools aimed to study area subsurface by processing of measurable properties of seismic record.

Attribute analysis. Most of attribute analysis methods implicate studying of changeable parameters of seismic record (seismic attributes): amplitudes, frequency, phase etc. Application of such methods doesn’t require well data use and can be performed in a whole time range of acquired seismic gather.




Seismic facies analysis – reconstruction of sedimentation conditions and lithofacies prediction based on seismic data. It is imposible to establish solid relations between sertain type of seismic reflection patterns and corresponding rock types. Examination of reflection changeability in association with well data allows to estimate sedimentation conditions of an area and to make assumptions about rock composition






Seismic inversion - prediction of reservoir filtration and capacity properties. “Seismic inversion” is the name of a group of algorithms that keep in essence transformations of seismic section to petrophysical properties section: acoustic impedance, density, velocities etc. Acquired parameters can be used to evaluate reservoir filtration and capacity properties, such as porosity, saturation, effective thickness. Resulting output is provided in a form of 3D parameter cubes and maps of corresponding parameters distribution along target horizons.
